Animation - Week 7 - 02/28/25

I enjoyed the analysis project, I’ve never actually broken down the elements of animation in other cartoons before, it was really interesting. The most challenging part of the project this week was breaking apart my front facing character puppet. I’m starting to get a better grasp of how each layer of the puppet needs to be tweaked so chunks aren’t missing when it moves, especially where the arms slightly overlap the chest.
The most memorable part of class today was the elements of animation analysis that we did.
(Trying to animate in after effects was so incredibly frustrating that I gave up on my front view and put her on a skateboard png to make the. simplest animation I could, this still took me far more hours than I care to admit)
