Favorite Visual Culture

One of my current favorite pieces of visual culture is an animated series called Fool's Gold. Fool's Gold is an animated retelling of a Dungeons and Dragons campaign played by the artist Dingo Doodles. The series is drawn in an animatic style which streamlines the animation process as it is being completed by only one person. Dingo also creates the voice over for every character, managing to give each character a unique and identifiable voice despite being only one person. The animatic is colored in minimalist grey tones with small colored accents and minimal shading, once again helping to streamline the creation process while also being visually appealing. The thumbnails for each episode are much more detailed with full color, more detailed line art, and rendered shading.
