Time to build: ≈ 30 minutes for collection and design setup
Time to animate: ≈ 4 hours (one hour lost to camera issue)
Time to edit/ post-production: ≈ 20 minutes (reversing footage and playing with speed)
Problems encountered: My phone died about an hour into recording and after charging it and putting it back on the camera arm I wasn't able to get it to line up with my previous frames even using onion skin so I chose to start over to have a better final product.
Aha moment: My "aha moment" was realizing I could use light pencil markings on the brown paper that weren't picked up by the camera in order to keep my beads and jars moving in a somewhat consistent circle
If I animated this again I would: I already had to fully reanimate this a second time and created a much nicer-looking final product than the original. The trick I learned from the original that I used for this attempt was putting putty on the bottoms of the jars so they didn't roll out of place as I was shooting. I also learned that shooting in reverse was much easier and more effective than shooting forward.
